Hi there!
I'm Dino Rovera and next to me in this arm stretching selfie is my Ol buddy Sir Walter Wallace, aka, Wall-E. He is not with us any longer, but the fourteen-year journey we had together was just as epic and enjoyable as my photography journey.
I am married and in pursuit of our 44th year and have two grown boys. My wife and I are Yellow Labrador lovers and have had plenty of them over the years, all of which have enjoyed our California king bed. We reside in the Sierra Nevada foothills which gives us the opportunity to visit many beautiful places in just a few hours.
My photography began when I was twelve. I purchased my first camera with my paper route money. I still remember that camera, a Kodak Instamatic 110. Over the last 52 years I have purchased and used many cameras and made the leap into digital photography and Photoshop several years ago, leaving the dark room and film canisters behind. I cherish the peace and quiet of landscape and nature photography and rarely leave home without one of my cameras and tripod. I also enjoy the creative aspect of Still Life photography and feel blessed to have a very large, dedicated room for my studio. I am always wandering into antique or thrift stores to look for treasures that I can turn into a photograph. I call my home studio, "Studio D."
